Our Mission

The objectives of Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons (CPS) are to perpetuate a fraternity of boaters of sufficient numbers, strength and vigour to achieve our ongoing aims of establishing high standards of navigation and seamanship; to provide training and study courses in the field of Boating, Seamanship, Piloting, Navigation and the safe handling of boats of all kinds, and to co-operate with the agencies of Canada charged with the Laws and Regulations relating to navigation. 

CPS Mission Statement

To increase awareness and knowledge of safe boating by educating and training members and the general public, by fostering fellowship among members, and by establishing partnerships and alliances with organizations and agencies interested in Boating.

 NHPSS Mission Statement

The North Halton Power & Sail Squadron is one of 10 Squadrons in York West District (YWD). The mission of YWD, the third largest district in Canada representing 10% of the total membership of CPS, is to foster self-sufficiency, creativity, growth and co-operation among our member squadrons, by encouraging and assisting squadrons individually and collectively to excel in attaining the objectives of Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons. The North Halton squadron fully supports and endorses these Objectives and Mission .
